Eminence
The Wizard.
A seventy-five-watt twelve with a moderate-Q upper-mid peak, a level spectral tilt, and the gentlest top-octave rolloff in the batch.
Fig. 01 - SPL response, on axis, 1m
Moderate-Q peak, level tilt, gentle top rolloff.
The Wizard's voice is a moderate-Q upper-mid peak on a level spectral tilt, with the gentlest top-octave rolloff of any speaker in this batch. The peak is broader than the Vintage 30's or G12H Anniversary's and narrower than the Greenback's — neither cuttingly forward nor warmly vocal, but mid-loaded and present. Placement is at the top of the upper mids, identical to the Swamp Thang's, but on a flat tilt rather than a downward one. Above the corner there is more content than the Celestions hold, though no air in the methodological sense. No scoop, no honky bark, no thick bottom. Bass runs deep, under a hundred hertz, where the Celestions roll off.
