Vintage 30.
A sixty-watt twelve with a narrow upper-presence peak, an ice-pick edge above it, and clean headroom past gig volume.
Fig. 01 - SPL response, on axis, 1m
Narrow upper-presence peak; ice-pick above it.
The Vintage 30 is the brightest, most forward speaker in the modern British Celestion cluster — a rising spectral tilt and a narrow, focused peak at the top of the presence band, with an ice-pick edge directly above it. The peak is high-Q: cutting and defined rather than broad, the upper-mid spike that lets the speaker push through a band mix without volume. No scoop, no honky bark, no thick bottom; bass reads lean, the lower mids stay out of the way, the peak does the carrying. Above the rolloff there is no air — the top octave is gone. A precise, biting British top end on a clean canvas underneath.
